The research within the Faculty of Humanities at Aalborg University is organised in knowledge resource groups that strives toward achieving a close connection between knowledge resource groups and teaching. The motto is; research based education and education based research.The knowledge resource groups consider students as a valuable resource, and their collaboration displays itself in both physical and virtual learning environments.
The Faculty of Hunaities makes a point of generating modern learning environments which suit the times and are based on the principles: people, problem, project, production, performance and play.

The Doctoral School of Humanities (PhD)
The aim of the Doctoral School is to create a framework for a PhD education characterized by quality and high international standard, maintaining critical mass and ensuring that the faculty's PhD education is developing in close cooperation with the national and international research society as well as private companies and public authorities.
